Intro : Everyone are talking about working and education. The school has an important place. It allows access to culture and transmits knowledge, know-being and attitudes. On the one hand, it is a place of learning for young people and one the other hand, it is a place of sociability and exchange. Some pupils like going to school and other less. Let’s discuss the advantages of going to school, then we will analyse the school’s drawback and explore the children’s activities all over the world.
I) To begin with, what are the advantages of going to school ?
Firstly, you can develop skills and knowledges which could be useful in your future. So, you can benefit from more opportunities to choose your profession and to earn a living by work which is freely chosen or accepted. You can also learn another language or improve your language skills.
In addition, you can integrate laws and school rhythms: be punctual, be respectful, be organized and learning to share.
The school provides a comfortable social life and is a source of protection and security.
Moreover, you can discover the community life and make new friends from different backgrounds and cultures. You become more tolerant, open-minded and understanding.
4) Lastly, the school allows a window on the world and on oneself : you gain self confidence, maturity and independence.
II) But, on the other hand, what are the school's drawback ? :
Some courses and teachers are not always adapted to various school groups.
Secondly, school timetables are imposed and loaded.
In addition, the children sit for many hours.
III) What are children’s activities all over the world ?
In the past, in countries like United Kingdom, people worked in mines. It's a dangerous job. The people who worked in the illegal mines said they needed the money and had no other choice. For example, Jenny worked everyday without the sunday, for a miserable salary and she went to school one day a week. Other children like Lizzie, worked in the field and on the farm with her family.
Whereas, today, in Mexico, girls plant onions. They surfer from dehydration, allergies and nausea. Moreover, in Philippines, boys like Saabir, sell newspapers and flowers, so he can go to school only 2 hours a day.
IV) In conclusion, in my opinion, going to school is one of the best ways to become civilized. This can be very rewarding and extremely educational. The school seems like a privilege.
