Explain the title '' Radioactive" de imagine dragons

  • I like the theory that it's about a revolution:
"The “ash and dust” he wakes up to is a destroyed encampment and the chemical he breathes in is tear gas. And, of course, aside from getting their encampments destroyed and tear gassed, protesters have often been taken to jail, in this case on a “prison bus.”
In the next verse we learn that he is raising his flags and that it is a “revolution,” which we will paint “red.” Red flags are associated with worker’s rights and, of course, a red revolution can be associated with communism, a political ideology often embraced by protesters.
Finally the word “radioactive” has multiple meanings. It can be associated with the tear gas with which he’s been attacked. As a protester, he’s also become an outcast from society; others avoid him as they’d avoid something radioactive. A third way to interpret the word is to pull it apart and find that he is actually an activist on the “radio.”"
