The Fault in Our Stars is an American romantic comedy-drama film (movie released in 2014) directed by Josh Boone, based on the novel of the same name by John Green. The main actors are Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. Shailene Woodley plays Hazel Grace Lancaster, a sixteen-year-old cancer patient. She attends a support group, where she subsequently meets and falls in love with Augustus Waters, played by Ansel Elgort.

2. Hazel Grace Lancaster is an Indianapolis teenager, she has terminal thyroid cancer that has unfortunately spread. Hazel's mother obliged Hazel to join a support group to make some friends. During a support meeting, Hazel meets Augustus Waters, a teenager who has lost a leg from bone cancer. (1/3)

They agree to read each other's favorite novels, Hazel's favorite novels was written by Peter van Houten who is retreated to Amsterdam following the novel's publication, and has not been heard from since. Augustus doesn't believe that this novel can stop like that. So Augustus started writing to Van Houten by email. Hazel writes him to ask about the novel's ending; Van Houten replies that he is only willing to answer in person. Hazel asks her mother if she can travel to Amsterdam but her mother said no. Augustus surprised Hazel with tickets to Amsterdam. A few days before the trip, Hazel started suffering and she was sent to an intensive care unit, but she managed to persuade her doctors to allow the trip. Hazel and Augustus arrive in Amsterdam during the meal, Augustus confesses his love for Hazel. They meet Van Houten, but are shocked to find him like this. The writer was not aware of their visit as it is the assistant of the writer who has programmed the entire stay. They visit the Anne Frank House, where Hazel struggles to climb the house's many stairs. At the end of the tour, Augustus and Hazel share a kiss. The next day, Augustus tells Hazel that his cancer has relapsed and spread throughout his body and is terminal. After their return to Indianapolis, Augustus' health worsens. Hazel receives a desperate call from Augustus late at night. He is taken to the ICU for a few days. Augustus organize his pre-funeral. Augustus died eight days later.
3. I liked this movie. It changes of the usual love stories. This is a movie about cancer even if there is also a love story. What I mean is that, yes, Hazel and Augustus have cancer, but the novel is more about the fact that we must appreciate what we have. This movie reminded me of a quote I love. "Learn to appreciate what you have before time make you appreciate what you had ..."
